Totem Managed Pet Care was established in 2024 as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are committed to ensuring continuity of veterinary care for pets of older adults and homebound populations. Founded by the same compassionate team behind Totem Small Animal Veterinary Clinic, our mission is to enrich the health and well-being of both pets and their owners. ​Through collaboration, and a shared passion for animal welfare, Totem MPC has become a trusted resource for veterinary care within the communities it serves, and looks ahead to expanding its impact, reaching more individuals in need. Our history reflects a commitment to compassionate care, and the belief that every individual, regardless of age or physical ability, deserves the joy and companionship that comes from a healthy and happy pet.
Meet the Board
Founder & DVM
Dr. Katy Wilson
Dr. Katy Wilson, a UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine ’95 graduate, grew up in Sonoma and graduated from Sonoma Valley High in 1980. Her nonprofit and wellness experience includes serving as an Institutional Animal Care and Use Veterinary Committee member at Roche Bioscience for 4 years and as a former Pets Lifeline board member. She has volunteered
with numerous organizations, including Jamison Animal Rescue, Pets Lifeline, Napa Humane, and Family Dog Rescue. Katy owns Totem Small Animal Clinic and focuses on anesthesia, surgery, disaster rescue, and continuity of care. She taught anesthesia and surgery at the Santa Rosa Junior College Vet Tech program for 7 years, is an active member of the California Veterinary Emergency Team and California Medical Veterinary Reserve Corp, and helped establish Totem Managed Pet Care. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her three labs and three cats, including Jack B. Nimble, a rescue from the Paradise fires.
